Tesla Paint Shop USB Guide
Tesla Paint Shop reads custom wraps from a USB stick. This guide walks you through formatting, naming, transferring, and selecting your wrap inside the car — usually under a minute end-to-end.
1. Format the USB stick
Use any USB-A or USB-C stick at least 1GB in size.
Format it as FAT32 (Windows: right-click → Format → FAT32. Mac: Disk Utility → Erase → MS-DOS FAT).
exFAT works too, but FAT32 is the most universally compatible across Tesla software versions.
2. Create the Wraps folder
At the root of the USB drive, create a folder named exactly "Wraps" (capital W).
Tesla Paint Shop only scans this folder. Files placed anywhere else won't appear in-car.
3. Transfer your wrap file
Drop your 1024×1024 PNG wrap file into the "Wraps" folder.
Multiple files are allowed — each will appear as a separate option in Paint Shop.
Safely eject the drive before unplugging.
4. Load the wrap in your Tesla
Plug the USB into a front USB port (with the car in Park).
Touchscreen → Toybox → Paint Shop → Wraps.
Select your design. Done.
